We are getting so much done in so little time, it's a mad house at our place! My biggest worry is of course my animals being shipped. I have called Continental Air quite every day since I booked their flight with a new question for them. What's this mean? Is this crate big enough? What will happen when they have a layover? And much more!
This is what I eat on the go. Because of the whole process of moving, I don't have much time to eat. I made this mix of raw almonds, dried cranberries, vegan chocolate chips, and raw brazil nuts.
This is Sonic's worried face.
Fast Watermelon Salad
1-2 cups chopped watermelon (seed taken out)
1 handful or less fresh mint -chopped
1 shot or more mandarin vodka
Mix and eat!
We have been trying to use up any gift certificates we have for Hawaii before we leave. We went to Cha Cha Cha Salsaria and I was very happy to see a vegan option on the menu. I got the Toady (non dairy). The Toady included
black beans, rice, blackened tofu, grilled veggies, lettuce, pico de gallo, & tomatillo salsa in a whole wheat tortilla.
This move of yours is huge news! I have a nomadic soul and actually long to move...but it is not to be right now. I hope that your move is as easy as it could be and that it is full of excitement and new adventure. At least you are managing to eat healthy during such a busy time.
ReplyDeleteThat must be one heckuva job in Omaha to go through such an ordeal.
ReplyDeleteThat burrito looks like good moving food! You so have my sympathies in dealing with this. Last time we moved, I thought I was going to lose my mind. You have a much better attitude!
ReplyDeleteOh, I bet your animals can sense your worry. I hope you'll all feel better once it's over and done with. That is a huge move!
ReplyDeleteI know it's coming up so quickly - but I hope you are enjoying using some gift certificates. That Toady looks good - I love to add tofu and veggies to a burrito!
Wow, just reading your post makes me stressed out. I've never had to move my whole life by PLANE! But it always works out, doesn't it!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are on top of things. That will pay off in the move. You can find the good or bad in any situation depending on your outlook.
ReplyDeleteStay positive and focus on your to-do list and things will work out fine, :-)
Ali
Your food looks so fantastic, thanks for sharing it with us. I would love to eat the way you eat!
ReplyDeleteI am sending best wishes for your Big Move.
And thank you for following my humble blog!
Aw, poor Sonic. Give him a comforting scritch on the head from me.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the move!!! I understand what you are going through as we move in 2 days ourselves. Hope it all goes well for you!!
ReplyDeleteSweet Sonic....he must know something is going on! I bet you will be glad when it's over, but you do sound in control :) Your trail mix sounds like a good travel snack, too.
ReplyDeleteYour healthy, on-the-go snacks sound yummy.
ReplyDeleteWhen we brought our cat with us from Ireland,it took a lot of coordinating, paperwork, and logistics just for one little kitty...must be a huge task with your big family...but, sounds like you got things totally under control.
Poor Sonic does look a little concerned...I think he knows something's up. Anyway, they are all in good hands.
Take care.
Hi, just wanted to say: JTee was me...I was on my hubby's computer and didn't realize he was logged in to his google account.
ReplyDeleteAwe...poor Sonic. I know he wonders what in the world is going on. Just stop and give him a big ole hug and a kiss. :o) I do wish you the best of luck during you move. I know you are worried about the move with your babies, but I'm sure they will be just fine! That toady does look delisious. I make an on the go snack just like yours except for I use cashews instead of brazil nuts.
ReplyDeleteJenny- I am trying to eat healthy still :) Where would you like to move to next?
ReplyDeleteShen- He has his education degree, so it's going to be a job as a preschool director.
Stacy-I seriously feel like I may lose my mind!
Jessica- I am trying my best to not be worried around them because I know that they will pick up on it. And only one of us needs to be stressed out :)
Diane- I have never lived in the mainland, only Hawaii and other islands. So this is going to be a huge change! I've never lived anywhere with cold weather, let alone snow!
Ali- Thanks girl! I am trying to stay positive and under control. I just need to get all my animals their rabies shots, and I am pretty much set!
Herbwormwood- Thank you for checking out my blog as well!
ReplyDeleteBlessedmama- Will do!
Debbie- Good to know it's not just me! Where are you going again?
Evergreen- Sonic seems to be handling pretty well. It's a couple of my cats that are freaking out.
Rose- I was wondering who that was! I was thinking, new friend? :) Wow, from Ireland. At least mine is just to the mainland, but they do have a layover, which I am kind of freaked about.
Michelle-I know, my poor boy. I kind of wish that it was only him I had to worry about and not all five! But I would never leave them behind. They are my babies for life!
That wrap looks sooooo good! I am just a wrap lover...
ReplyDeleteMorgan- oh it was! I got a side of guacamole too! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, I don't know where I'd like to move next! I have lived within a 4 hour radius my entire life and mostly in small towns. As much as I love trees and nature, I really want to live in a big city.
