Oh my goodness, can I just start by saying that I love this company! That being said, Shawn and Theresa with UliMana sent me this awesome variety of samples that you see Rahjah sniffing above. When I got the box in the mail I could not WAIT to try them.
Let me tell you a bit about their products first. UliMana was started in 2005 and thought to be the first raw chocolate company ever! All their truffles are vegan, organic and raw. All the words that we love to hear! All the truffles are made from pure cacao and sweetened with agave. No soy lectin or sugar in these truffles!
Just one truffle packs some FLAVOR let me tell you! I could only eat one per day, because they are so rich and flavorful. Which is great because I usually go through any chocolate in my house so fast. This will totally ease your chocolate crave with just one truffle. I can't tell you favorite one because I honestly liked all of them equally. They all have their own unique flavor. I guess if I HAD to pick I would say either the goji cherry truffles or the dark cacao truffles. You can't even tell these truffles are raw! They are just pure raw goodness.
These truffles come in ten different flavors: Hemp, Dark Cacao, Peppermint, Coconut, goji Cherry, Cacao Nibs and Mayan. The three newest additions are Coconut Nectar, Harvest Nectar and Chia Moon. I think everyone should try these UliMana truffles. Just to warn you, once you try them you will be addicted. Please visit their site and try some for yourself. Totally worth every penny! You can also follow them on Facebook HERE.
Thanks so much for the chance to review these products Theresa and Shawn. As always, I was not paid for this review and UliMana sent me these products for free to sample.
every flavor sounds better than the next. coconut nectar? yum!
ReplyDeleteGuess those are probably better than the Brandy Pralines I bought at TJ Maxx.
ReplyDeleteWow, how do I get a sample of those?! :-) Glad you liked them - they sound yummy!
ReplyDeleteThese sound good - did you share with your cat?
ReplyDeleteI love raw chocolate, it's so much more - well, chocolatey - than bars.
These do sound good. I'll keep my eyes peeled for them. I think the coconut nectar ones sound super yummy.
ReplyDeleteSara- I know! I think when I order some it will be the coconut nectar.
ReplyDeleteShen-I am sure your were good Shen. There were just....awesome though! And since when does TJ Max have chocolate? I guess I wouldn't really know. I think I've only been there once.
Blessed mama- Haha, their sample packs are only $5 each? Not bad huh? So yummy!
Jess- Haha, no ways. No chocolate for my babies. I love raw chocolate too! You have GOT to try this stuff.
Rose- You can try emailing them to see where they sell them. I believe their products are only available online. They also sell spreads! It's basically their truffles but in a spread form!
They look really delicious!

ReplyDeleteThe Parsley soup recipe.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
300g potatoes, cut into chunks
2 garlic cloves, crushed
175g - 200g parsley leaves
12 ladles of parsley stock (see below)
1 teaspoon vegetable powder
Salt and pepper to taste
For the parsley stock
The parsley stalks
1 onion, chopped
1 carrot, peeled and chopped
2 whole garlic cloves
Water to cover
Method
To make the stock bring to the boil all th ingredients and allow to simmer for at least an hour before straining and using (discard the veg). This is also excellent as a hot drink.
To make the soup, heat the oil in a large pan and fry the potatoes and garlic over low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until they are nearly soft. Add the parsley and pour the stock over slowly. Add the stock powder and simmer for 15 minutes depending on how thick the leaves are. When the potatoes are completely tender and the parsley has collapsed, blend smooth and adjust the seasoning.
I hope you like. Let me know how you find it.

re: your Hippy Pack. Let me know :)
Viv- Super yum!
ReplyDeleteMangocheeks- I just checked to see your reply about the hippy pack. I really want to try those dumplings! The soup sounds great! Do you think if I make the parsley soup and parley shortbread that the combo would be too much parsley? Should I maybe do a different soup today with the shortbread?
Hippy packs, they don't really have any rules except that everything has to be vegan friendly :) No price limit or anything, just whatever you want to send :) If you are interested, then let me know and I'll start working on one for you!
Aww, Rahjah knows what's good! I want those dark cacao truffles!
ReplyDeleteRiver- The dark chocolate ones were soooooo good!
ReplyDeleteooooooooo! i've been looking around for some raw chocolate! i may have to check these out. :)
ReplyDeleteOoo, I must try these!!
ReplyDeleteNO.
ReplyDeleteI NEED TO TASTE THISE ULIMANA GEMS.
I have honestly tried to get them at the whole foods near school for over two years. They JUST recently added a raw vegan section. It looks like a tiny corner in comparison to the whole grocery store. (I am living vicariously through your blog post and review)..coconuts: asian market downtown, there's a street people say is china town. There are back to back grocers just competing for prices so the price is between 2-4 for one, really cheap! I realized I haven't caught up on your posts..so..I will be reading them now. :P
-Amy
YUM....those chocolates sounds so good!
ReplyDeleteKim -Let me know if you do! They are great!
ReplyDeleteCassie-Do! They are great!
Amy- Oh they are so good! I know how you feel about the tiny raw sections. When I went raw for about a month I was so disappointed in the tiny sections of raw things. That is so awesome you have a little china town area there and that the coconut are cheep there. They are probably from Thailand than! Thats a lot better I think. Thanks for catching up! I'll be by your blog later to to see if you have any posts I missed :)
Michelle- They were super good!!!
Thanks Carissa.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think the parsley soup and parley shortcakes will be fine together.
