Daiya Cheese

Daiya Cheese, where do I begin? Before this company came out with these two cheeses, I had pretty much come to the conclusion that if I was going to be a vegan, I would just have to live without cheese. Period. I have tried a few different brands of dairy-free cheese, and I hated every single one of them. I was very apprehensive to try Daiya. I decided that if this one didn't taste good, I was going to be over vegan cheese all together. This one was so different from any of the other brands I tried! It was AWESOME! I was so extremely thrilled with my first bite. IT TASTES LIKE CHEESE! Daiya is an awesome brand, because they are dairy-free (obviously), no preservatives, no artificial ingredients, and NON-GMO. The main ingredients are tapioca and arrowroot flours.

In this picture, I had a crescent with avocado, vegenaise, and nutritional yeast smeared on top and pita chips with a little Daiya Cheddar melted on them. I love how this cheese melts and stretches! It's amazing! I love you Daiya cheese! I am so glad that someone finally came out with a vegan cheese that tastes amazing!

~Grilled Cheese & Tofu Scramble~
Tofu Scramble
Half block of tofu
1/4 sweet onion, chopped
2 garlic, chopped
Small handful spinach
small handful mushrooms, chopped
Turmeric, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Nutritional yeast, to taste
Pinch of Parsley
Scramble the tofu & eat!


  1. Yes Daiya is LOVE. It's one thing that I'll cheat on raw with from time to time because I love it so much haha
