It's my birthday, and I'll cry if I want to!

So this past week was my birthday. I have reached the age of 23. Miraculous! Thanks to my Lord & Savior! So he look me to Thai Villiage in Waipahu. It was our first time there. There was absolutely no one inside so it was great service! I order a thai tea (which I just recently discovered that I love), pad thai noodles, & garlic tofu. It was awesome!

09/03/2009

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us all rejoice and be glad in it! Today was a very long day. I drove to work today, and tried my best to get their early enough so that I could grab some coffee before work. So, I walked into Starbucks and there was a long line of course. I stood in line and decided to get something different this time. I normally get the venti iced soy caramel machiatto. This time I tried the pumpkin spiced frappuccino. I hated it. Which was weird since I nomally really like pumpkin things. I got into work 3 minutes late. Worked until five o'clock, then got off. Went home to make some amoxicillin mixture for one of the foster kitten's named
Sarabi. Then I drove out to Schofield to pick up an abandoned dog. It is just so sad to me that
someone would just abandon their pet! This dog was a sweetheart! She looked like a husky/
australian shepard mix to me. She had one light blue eye and one dark brown eye. I will post pictures
when I get some good ones. So after I picked up Whitey or Vanilla as the kids were calling her, I went
off to drop her at a foster home for the evening. Then I drove to the other side of the island to drop
off the medicine for Sarabi. He foster home wants to adopt her, so that was GREAT news!
After that was all done, I had a veggie burger from burger king. Then when I got home I walked 4 miles
and now I am ready for bed! Good night all!

Sonic & Prince

The other day, Hiss (the feral cat in my area) was meowing at my door for food. So, I walked outside to feed him and just so happened to look in my yard. Low and behold, this is what I saw:

Prince! He was taking a little nap in my dog's water bowl. I always wondered why my dog's bowl got so dirty overnight, and now I know why.
He lives in my yard. He comes out every night. Whenever I feed Hiss, he comes out and eats the cat food. What a strange toad!

Today I took Sonic down to this little park to play a little before I
went on my long walk. I call it a park, but technically it's just a little grassy area in our parking structure. He loves it though. We walk down there, and I throw the ball around and let him run his heart out!
Then I brought him home & went on my 4 mile walk:)

Food Inc.

08/23: I am just about to leave my house to drive to the other side of the island to watch Food Inc. in theaters. There is only one place on the island that is showing it, so off we go!

08/24: So I watched Food Inc. last night. It was a really good movie! I think everyone should watch it! It basically talked about all the things that the FDA tries to hide from consumers. A lot of America is content with not knowing about where their food comes from. We just trust that what they give us in safe, when it is the complete opposite of safe! For example, corn is fed to cows because it is the cheep easy way, instead of feeding them what they were born to eat, which is grass. Because the cows are fed corn, the cows develop maladies that must be treated with antibiotics (which are passed on to consumers). This has led to the mutation of new strains of the E.coli virus. By the end of the movie I felt totally nauseated. Now I am even MORE conscientious about eating local & organic more often. When it comes out on DVD, I am going to buy it and make everyone watch it.

Skin Care

Just thought I would share about the skin care that I use. I have been using MyChelle Dermaceuticals  for about 4 years now. I have always had very sensitive skin, and struggled to find a good skin care. I also have rosacea, so that does not help either. I love the fact that Mychelle is free of phthalates, parabens, propylene glycol, ureas, EDTA, fragrances, encapsulated nano particles, and artificial colors. I'm kind of paranoid about parabens, phthalates, etc. My husband can attest to this. Mychelle is also 100% vegetarian & cruelty free. Most of their products are even vegan friendly. The products I currently use are:
  • Honeydew Cleanser
  • Capillary Calming Serum (for my rosacea)
  • Deep Repair Cream
  • Fresh Eyes
  • Guava Cactus Mask

This is a great company and I highly recommend these products.

Kolohe adopted

Today was a good SCARS day! Kolohe got adopted into his forever home:) He is such a sweet, beautiful little boy. I'm so glad we found him a good home. I'm also glad that I found a pet store here that sells the indoor immunizations. Pet stores usually don't carry them.

For lunch today I had a vegetable sushi handroll & avocado maki from Aloha Sushi. I also had a Robeks Acai Engergizer, which I LOVE by the way! I like Robeks way better than Jamba Juice. The only thing I will get at Jamba Juice is the fresh Carrot Juice or the Wheat grass shots. Robeks on the other hand has such better smoothies. The acai bowls are great as well!
